Health guarantee overview

We prioritize health, temperament, and genetic soundness. Our guarantee reflects how we breed and place kittens—and our commitment to every family we work with.

Maine Coon kitten

Lifetime backing

Our relationship doesn’t end at pickup. We’re breeders, educators, and Maine Coon people first—if something’s wrong, we’ll help you navigate it, often even when a situation falls outside strict guarantee language.

Health depends on genetics, diet, exercise, and daily care. We can’t promise a cat will never get sick—but we promise to do our best to send home healthy kittens and support you honestly along the way.

What the guarantee covers

First-year coverage

No pet is “replaceable,” but if a kitten dies within one year of birth due to a documented genetic cause, or if a licensed vet confirms a serious congenital/hereditary disorder that harms health, we will replace the kitten with one of equivalent value at no charge—per written veterinary certification.

Extended coverage

For some genetic conditions that appear later, if a licensed vet confirms a serious condition before age two that significantly affects quality of life, we may offer credit toward a replacement kitten—typically 50% of the original purchase price, toward a cat of similar value, subject to our written terms.

What we need from you

We love placing healthy kittens—your partnership keeps them that way. These steps help preserve our guarantee:

1

Initial veterinary exam

Send us a copy of the exam record within 3 business days of pickup. Use a licensed veterinarian. Your kitten arrives with age-appropriate vaccines—avoid new vaccines in the first 10 days home.

2

Ongoing healthcare

Keep exams, vaccines, and prevention on schedule. Maine Coons thrive with exercise and enrichment—both matter for long-term health.

3

Proper nutrition

Feed quality food suited to age, size, and activity. Maintain a healthy weight—extra pounds hit large breeds hard.

4

Documentation

Keep vet records organized. If you ever need to discuss the guarantee, clear paperwork speeds everything up.

Important: Continue deworming and vet visits as your veterinarian recommends. Neglect of care can void parts of this guarantee.

Limitations

We stand behind our cats, but some situations are outside this guarantee:

Not covered

  • Temperament or behavior issues tied to training or socialization gaps.
  • Normal variation in size, weight, color, or markings.
  • Injury or illness from accidents, neglect, or improper care.
  • Parasites that appear after the kitten has left our care.
  • Costs of spay/neuter, including undescended testicles.

The guarantee may be void if the cat hasn’t received appropriate vet care or nutrition, or has been bred without our consent. Injury or illness from unsafe activity, falls, or overexertion is not covered.
